That episode where you find out that a member of the zany villain squad actually has a heartbreaking past, which includes a bit where he pushes himself to perform a feat that has never been done before and has never been done since, all for the sake of love, only to be rejected as a freak.

All three of them have heartbreaking pasts.
Meowth’s was listed above.
James had abusive (at the very least neglectful, but they didn’t care how he was treated so long as he awarded them prestige) parents who had engaged him to a sociopath, who wanted to whip him and change everything about him to be more “presentable.” He ran away and was on the streets for a long time before he finally joined a crime ring.
Jesse was raised by a single mother, and the two of them were so poor that they rarely had actual food; her mother would make her a “feast” out of snow in the winter that Jesse considered to be a treat because that’s how badly they were starving. If the audio dramas are to be believed, Jesse’s mother was also a member of Team Rocket, who disappeared (read: died) on an expedition searching for Mew, leaving Jesse alone. And then Jesse, like James (and Meowth) was so desperate for a means to survive that she (inadvertently?) followed in her mother’s footsteps and joined Team Rocket/a life of crime just to get by.
“Zany villains” they may be, but Jesse, James, and Meowth are the three deepest characters on the show. I love them.

In late December of 2003, security cameras at Hampton Court Palace, a huge tudor castle near London, captured a startling image. Security guards were unsettled to repeatedly find a fire door open when no one was apparently around. Upon checking the security tape, they were shocked by a ghostly figure, closely resembling King Henry VIII (who died in the 1500s).
Vikki Wood, a spokesperson for the Palace, said “We’re baffled too—it’s not a joke, we haven’t manufactured it. We genuinely do not know who it is or what it is.” They aren’t a ppc company, or even a company looking to gain from this oddity; they are just as baffled like most people who look at this footage.
A security officer, James Faukes, called the incident “unnerving,” and said they’d ruled out their costumed guides. “In fact, they don’t even own a costume like the one worn by the figure on the video. It was incredibly spooky because the face just didn t look human,” Faukes said.

I googled and yep this is legit: BBC article CNN article

Don’t care if it’s real, I love it.

whoa can we just talk about this game
I played it for like 5 hours last night
it’s a flash platforming game with a philosophical dilemma at the end of each level, which is essentially the coolest thing ever
it keeps track of your answers and at the end plots you on a graph with a bunch of famous thinkers/historical figures (I ended up nearest amelia earhart, go figure I did like 15 book reports on her in elementary school) and lets you know what type of thinker you are
I also thought the avatar creator was pretty cool because it doesn’t explicitly force you to pick boy or girl
the controls are a little janky but overall I thought the level design was really nice and the last few levels manage to be both fun and challenging
good game. would recommend. you should be playing this

Really cool concept!

I FUCKING LOVE THIS GAME

oh my god
